WARDROBE SUPERVISOR

Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter FL (LORT B) seeks a seasonal Wardrobe Supervisor from October 1, 2013 to mid-April 2014.  Housing is not included.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working directly with Costume Shop Manager and designers in alterations and fitting schedules for both rental packages and costume designs, organizing paperwork and running sheets for dressers and serving as a dresser.  Wardrobe Supervisor must be skilled with wig maintenance, and have strong sewing skills.  Maltz Jupiter Theatre is an equal opportunity employer.  All employees must pass a background check.  Salary is competitive and benefits are available. SCENIC SHOP SUPERVISOR / ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter Florida (Shop is located in West Palm Beach) is seeking a full time Scenic Shop Supervisor / ATD.  Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a thriving LORT B theatre which produces 3 large musicals and 2 plays in season (October through April) and 3 Conservatory Productions off season.  Shop Supervisor will oversee a staff of 4 carpenters, in season, and is expected to be hands on in the shop as well.  Scenic builds are overlapping for each show which demands a strong sense of “the big picture” and a keen understanding of how to schedule in advance. MASTER ELECTRICIAN

Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter FL (LORT B) seeks a seasonal ME from October 7, 2013 to mid-April 2014.  Housing is not included.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working directly with designers as a consultant, programming and running the light board (ION) for season, limited engagements and rentals; obtaining bids, making purchases and rentals; maintaining inventory and stock; determining, and overseeing, crew needs with the Production Manager and Technical Director.  Maltz Jupiter Theatre is an equal opportunity employer.  All employees must pass a background check.  Salary is competitive and benefits are available. MASTER CARPENTER / DECK CHIEF

Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter is seeking a seasonal Master Carpenter/Deck Chief.  Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a thriving LORT B theatre which produces 3 large musicals and 2 plays in season.  2013-14 Season begins October 7, 2013 and runs through April 13, 2014.  Housing is not included. MC/DC is expected to be the lead flyman and will oversee the deck crew during tech and run of all productions. Works directly with the Production Stage Manager on crew assignments and need to be available for work calls as needed.  Must be a skilled rigger and carpenter with strong background in all areas of theatre technology.  Candidate should be capable in CAD and Vectorworks. Attention, energetic volunteers!

There are numerous and various volunteer positions available at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre year-round. Here is a brief description of some of them:

Bartenders: Form a team of 3-4 people, or become part of an established team, and sign up for a matinee or evening shift. No bartending experience? Don't worry, we'll train you!

Poster distribution: Volunteers distribute beautiful posters to the business community for each of our productions.

Wardrobe: Work backstage to help organize, alter, repair or create new costumes for main season and educational Conservatory shows. All levels of sewing skills useful. Come wee what happens "behind the seams!"

Ushers: Ushers are needed for matinee, evening and weekend performances as a member of a team.

Box office:  Extensive computer knowledge is not necessary, but if you can point and click, you're qualified!! What we do require is great customer service, a love of the theatre, and 4-8 hours per week (mostly nights and weekends). Training will be provided.
