MALTZ JUPITER THEATRE
TO HOST EXCLUSIVE BENEFIT CONCERT,
FEATURING TONY AWARD® WINNING ‘BEST ACTRESS’
CHRISTINE EBERSOLE

One-night-only November concert will benefit the not-for-profit Maltz Jupiter Theatre

October 29, 2015 (Jupiter) – It’s the chance to attend an unforgettable concert by a Broadway star for a wonderful cause.

Don’t miss two-time Tony Award® winning “Best Actress” Christine Ebersole (for Grey Gardens and the revival of 42nd Street) on stage at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre for a spellbinding and humorous one-night-only benefit concert for the Theatre on Saturday, November 21.

Star of stage, screen and television, this high-octane superstar will be backed by a ten-piece orchestra and will enchant audiences with her glorious voice, performing songs from Broadway classics and standards from the great American songbook. Led by musical director John Oddo, the evening will offer songs from Sondheim, Gershwin, Arlen and more, featuring such beloved tunes as “On the Atchinson, Topeka and The Santa Fe,” “Johnny One Note” and her signature title song from Broadway’s 42nd Street.

“We are honored to continue the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s Tony Award® winner benefit concert series by welcoming Broadway star Christine Ebersole to our stage,” said Andrew Kato, the Theatre’s producing artistic director. “Our benefit concerts have been a wonderful success in recent years with Brian Stokes Mitchell and Chita Rivera. We know that audiences will be equally as dazzled by Christine Ebersole.”

In addition to an extensive and award-winning career on Broadway, Christine recently starred for three seasons on TBS’s comedy hit “Sullivan and Sons” and has held numerous television roles, including a memorable stint on “Saturday Night Live.” Ebersole’s film work includes the recent “Wolf of Wall Street,” “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” “Tootsie,” “Amadeus” and more. Her solo concerts have been performed at The Kennedy Center and at many concert halls and theaters across the country. She has released four albums, including her latest, “Strings Attached,” featuring Aaron Weinstein and trio.

The New York Times raves that “If Ms. Ebersole is at heart a Broadway baby, her flexibility extends to jazz and more. Under the guidance of her musical director and pianist, John Oddo, she breezes from one style to the next, connecting songs with personal vignettes.”

Variety states that “Anyone who has been following Christine Ebersole in recent years will hardly be surprised by her show. Ebersole moves into the house of Short, Kitt, Cook and Stritch with total assurance, serving up a dazzling set that mixes jazzy singing with comedy, personality and a serious moment or two,” and Backstage writes that “Whether it's comedy novelty numbers, moving ballads, jazz scatting, or operatic trills, Christine Ebersole can do it all. In her current concert, this two-time Tony winner runs the proverbial gamut, with plenty of stops along the way.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit the not-for-profit Maltz Jupiter Theatre and its Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts. As part of the exclusive concert, top sponsors can attend an elegant pre-concert sit-down dinner onsite at the Theatre in The Green Room Club Level Lounge before moving to their VIP seats in the orchestra. After the performance, Ebersole will join the guests for dessert, coffee and cordials.

An Evening with Christine Ebersole is sponsored by Isanne and Sanford Fisher, Margaret Beleckis, Kretzer Piano, Palm Beach Illustrated and III Forks Palm Beach Gardens; sponsorships are available for a pre-show dinner and post-show meet-and-greet dessert reception.

An Evening with Christine Ebersole will take place on Saturday, November 21. Showtime is 8 p.m.; Tickets begin at $50. To purchase tickets, call (561) 575-2223 or visit www.jupitertheatre.org.
