2 Pianos 4 Hands Premieres At The Maltz Jupiter Theatre

Jupiter, FL (March 7, 2007) – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre in association with Marquis Entertainment presents the Florida premiere of - 2 Pianos 4 Hands. This final play of the season opens with previews on March 20 and runs through April 8. The off- Broadway hit is a “dramatic gem” that explores the universal plight of all those with an ounce of training and talent – the will and the dream to "be" a professional musician. Follow two Canadian boys as they work fervently towards their dream amidst pushy parents, eccentric teachers, hours of practice, stage fright, the agony of competitions and the dream of greatness. As the two mature, they become aware of the gap between the good and the great and come to the humbling realization that greatness maybe out of reach. This “funny, clever and insightful” two actor tour de force is filled with many musical classics ranging from ‘Chopsticks’ to works by Bach and Beethoven with some Billy Joel and Jerry Lee Lewis thrown in for good measure. The New York Post says, “Anyone who has ever taken a piano lesson or, much more significant, ever encountered some kind of career or life disappointment and moved on, can identify with this story, laugh and have a great time.” Written by Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt, the Maltz production stars Richard Carsey and Tom Frey and is directed by Richard Greenblatt.
