Maltz Jupiter Theatre Toasts its Circle of Friends at Opening Season Cocktail Party

Jupiter, FL (November 17, 2006) - On November 8^th the Maltz Jupiter Theatre proudly thanked its most generous donors aptly called "Circle of Friends" at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's opening season cocktail party.

About 125 friends gathered on the stage of the local resident theatre that relies - on the support of volunteers in the community, guild members and especially donors.

As a non-profit organization the theatre needs contributions in excess of $1.5 million each and every year in order to support theatre operations.

"Ticket sales cover only half of our costs. If it weren't for our ‘Circle of Friends' we might have to charge more for our shows and then not as many people would be able to enjoy this culturally rich facility," explained Tricia Trimble, Director of Development for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. "We are so thankful to our donors and we are equally thankful to have four fine businesses to sponsor, in part, this beautiful evening to thank them."

The event featured a surprise guest appearance by Angela Grovey, lead actress in the theatre's opening production of Ain't Misbehavin' who sang for those in attendance.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February 2004 as a 554-seat, nonprofit community-based regional theater in the former Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre. The theater is a member of the prestigious League of Resident Theatres. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is located at 1001 East Indiantown Road and State Road A1A in Jupiter.
