Irving Berlin Revue, I Love a Piano Opens for One Week

All New Musical Revue Runs February 12 through 17

(Jupiter, FL) January 30, 2008 - Maltz Jupiter Theatre presents an enchanting new musical journey, spanning seven decades of American History as seen through the perceptive and hopeful eyes of Irving Berlin.   Irving Berlin's I Love a Piano begins on February 12 and runs through February 17.

I Love a Piano captures the spirit of America from the Ragtime rhythms of the early 20th century through the swinging sophistication of the 1920s and 30s, using 64 of Berlin's enduring and popular favorites.  From the sentimental songs that inspired a nation during two World Wars to the innocent optimism of the 1950's viewers will hear timeless classics, such as "White Christmas","God Bless America", "Puttin' On The Ritz", and "There's No Business Like Show Business".

Variety raves that "The strutting, cajoling, embracing songs are newly revealed ... rousing and toe tapping!"   Songs like "A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody", "Blue Skies", and "Cheek to Cheek" are several of the timeless Irving Berlin songs included in the show.

Irving Berlin, born Israel Beilin in a Russian Jewish shtetl in 1888, he lived in his adopted homeland of New York, New York, until he died in 1989. Songwriter, performer, theatre owner, music publisher, soldier and patriot, Berlin wrote over 1200 songs in his lifetime, including "White Christmas," "Easter Parade," "Always," "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Alexander's Ragtime Band," and "God Bless America"  and wrote the scores to countless Broadway musicals, including Annie Get Your Gun.  Among his many accolades, the Academy Award for "White Christmas," a Congressional Gold Medal, and a special Tony Award and commemoration on a 2002 U.S. postage stamp.
