Maltz Jupiter Theatre Institute Becomes Conservatory of the Performing Arts
Adult Classes Added To Curriculum

 

Jupiter, Florida (September 10, 2007) - The tapping of shoes, the singing of scales and the joyous melodies of a musical ensemble -- the sounds of a new generation of performing artists ready for instruction at the new Conservatory of the Performing Arts (COPA) which is set to open on Tuesday, September 18 at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre.

"The COPA name was unanimously voted on by the Maltz Jupiter Theatre board as it more adequately reflected the entire curriculum being offered by the new school; including the addition of classes for adults," said Judy Gelman, Director of Education.

Adult classes are with Marc Durso and are offered on Monday nights from 8 - 10 p.m. Cost is $450 and is open for adults age 18 and over.

Classes begin September 18 and run through January 19, 2008 on weekends and after school. The spring semester begins January 21 and runs through May 17. In addition to classes; an improv night for youth ages 12 - 18 and guest artist workshops and master classes will be available throughout the year. Final class performances will include a theatrical production on the Maltz stage.
