Winners Get Cash Prizes; Theatre Audience Picks the Winners

Jupiter, FL (June 1, 2007) - The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild announced their annual search for talent in Palm Beach County. Auditions have been scheduled for Saturday, June 16.  The three age categories open for audition are: Youth: ages 3 thru 12; Teens: ages 13 thru 20; and Adults: 21 and over. The Palm Beach Idols show will take place on Saturday, July 28^th at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. This variety talent show will feature cash prizes for the winners who will be narrowed down by industry and celebrity judges; with the finalists chosen by the audience. One winner from each category will be crowned Palm Beach Idol!

"Last year's show was a complete sellout! It's amateur competition at its finest, with the audience truly enjoying their involvement by being able to pick the winners," says Dan DiRenzo, Maltz Theatre Guild president.

Twenty-four talented singers, musicians and novelty acts of all ages will be chosen from the hundreds of would be stars to be discovered (Two previous winners are now under contract with agents, with one young man making it to Broadway starring in The Lion King).

The Palm Beach Idols show  is Saturday, July 28 at 7:30 pm. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild is a-not-for-profit fundraising arm for the Children's Theatre Institute at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. Funds for the Children's Institute are raised through various fundraising events throughout the year.
