Students from the Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) Summer Conservatory will present the classic musical 42nd Street, choreographed by world-famous choreographer and summer conservatory instructor, Ron DeJesus. The show is a jazzy tribute to the joys of Broadway. The Great White Way's most brilliant director, Julian Marsh, is preparing for his biggest show yet, "Pretty Lady," set during the depths of the Great Depression. He is faced with one obstacle after another, especially when his leading lady breaks her ankle at the last minute; of course, the understudy is pushed unexpectedly on to center stage and becomes a surprise star on opening night. Show times are 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students under 18. July 3-6 Palm Beach Principal Players present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s- South Pacific. Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 at 8 pm; Saturday, July 5 at 2 & 8 pm; Sunday, July 6 at 2 & 7 pm. All tickets are $20. July 19 – Palm Beach Idol. This variety talent show will feature cash prizes for the finalists who will be selected by industry and celebrity judges; with the winners chosen by the audience. One winner from various categories will be crowned Palm Beach Idol! Produced by the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild. Showtime is 7:30 pm. Tickets are $15. July 25 & July 26 – Peter Pan the Musical. Students from the Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) Junior Summer Conservatory will present ‘Peter Pan, the (is T capitalized? Musical.’ Peter Pan, like its namesake, is a tale which never ages. Children and adults alike have all fallen under the spell of Neverland, a place where children can fly and where exciting, and frightening adventures happen every single day. Show times are 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students under 18. August 1 – 31 – Menopause the Musical. A celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived The Change. It all starts with four women (a power woman, a soap opera star, an earth mother and an Iowa housewife) at a NYC Bloomingdale's lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra and memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, chocolate binges and more. Show times are Wednesday 2 pm and 7:30 pm; Thursday and Friday 7:30 pm; Saturday 3 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday 2 pm. Tickets are $39.50 Orchestra and $36.50 Mezzanine.
