Theatre Gets Facelift

(Jupiter, FL - August 24, 2006 ) - The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has recently repainted the exterior of the building to more closely match the original color of the first theatre - The Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre. Board member Elaine Newman generously donated the funds to have the building painted.

"We are thrilled to have Elaine pay for this much needed facelift. The color choice was a natural as the rich history of this theatre can not be overlooked as well as Burt Reynolds significant artistic impact on this community. We are proud to pay tribute to Mr. Reynolds original theatre and hope the Maltz Jupiter Theatre will continue the legacy of providing rich cultural offerings to the community.

In addition to the repainting, an original watercolor of Burt Reynolds standing in front of his theatre now hangs in the lobby with a dedication honoring Mr. Reynolds.

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February, 2004 as a 550-seat, professional nonprofit regional theatre (in the former Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre) dedicated to the performing arts whose mission is to entertain, educate and inspire our community." The theatre is a member the prestigious League of Resident Theatres and is located at 1001 Indiantown Road and A1A in Jupiter.
