Community Outreach

PAGE TO STAGE

Page to Stage workshops are designed for students grades K-4. Based on children’s story books, this program was designed to teach the importance of reading and to show the relationship to theatre acting. These workshops run 40 minutes and can be booked between 10am-1pm. Cost is $1 per student per workshop. Each Page to Stage Workshop includes follow-up teaching guides for your use. These guides include:

  • an introduction to theatre etiquette
  • a biography on the storytellers
  • a message about the importance of fairy tales in our lives and the psychological impact of those fairy tales (by Dr Sheldon Cashdan and Bruno Bettelheim)
  • specific activities which support the development of skills necessary for success on the FCAT
  • a master copy of the script used in the workshop

If you are interested in scheduling a Page to Stage workshop, please call Sue Cunniff at (561) 575-2672, Ext. 2.
