Box Office Customer Service Representative

The Box Office Customer Service Representative is responsible for all box office activity as scheduled.  This position works alongside the box office staff, handles ticket transactions, provides excellent customer service, handles problems as necessary, and assists in cash control. The Box Office Customer Service Representative reports to the Box Office Manager and Assistant Box Office Manager.

Part Time – 15-20 hours per week 

Responsibilities for this position include: 

  • Providing superior customer service to all patrons 
  • Handling incoming box office calls and window walk-up ticket transactions  
  • Conveying general information about Maltz Jupiter Theatre programming to prospective and existing patrons  
  • Handling ticket will-call and walk-up sales during performances 
  • Handling cash control for cash transactions, including closing of all tills at the end of the night  

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure 
  • Supervisory skills 
  • Solid computer skills and aptitude to learn ticketing software 
  • Skills in data entry 
  • Must be comfortable sitting or standing at a computer for long periods of time 
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively and accurately in a fast-paced work environment  
  • Work effectively and positively with others 

This position works days, nights and weekends with a variable schedule.
